Every boy likes to play with their GI Joes and with that what better theme could you possibly use for a guys sleepover or birthday party. With all of the different GI joes that are out there the possibilities are limitless. Go through and decide whether this is going to be an overnight party or something that will last for a few hours; then start plannig the party supplies and food lists. This can help you plan the rest of the day/evening. Go through and set up the guest list and when you send out the invitations ask that the guests come in full warfare or camouflage gear. This way when everyone arrives you will be able to set up the backyard or the basement, whichever is more convenient for paintball or water balloon party activities. Keep in mind you can go online for fun printable games as well. Keeping the kids entertained with party games and different war or party activities is something that is not easy to do, but with some good old fashioned ‘war’ games the GI joe theme will be a hit every time.
Divide your guests into two parties, you will have the GI Joe team and then the opposing team can be the bad guys. This allows you to get the teams decided and ready to go before anyone ever gets there, if using paint balls use different colored sweats to help determine the two teams, something that is old and ok if it gets ruined. If not you can use water balloons and different food colors or kool-aid to dye the water to keep track of who hits who. Once all the GI joe warfare games are over it will be time to replenish on party cakes and fun foods before getting out there to dominate again.
