Flag Day is celebrated in June every year to commemorate adoption of the United States flag. There are many party supplies for Flag Day which include flags (of course), buntings, banners, balloons, tableware items such as plates, cups, napkins, forks, spoons, knives (red, white and blue), and patriotic doorway decorations.
There are many Flag Day printable games to select from which include word games, word search, word find and word scramble. While Flag Day is a United States celebration, there is no reason why children should know get to know the flags of other countries as well.
Red, White and Blue Race is an outdoor Flag Day party game as players dance to music and once the music is stopped, periodically, and the person operating the stereo calls out one of 3 colors – red, white or blue. The players must then have to find an object of that color that is not a part of their own clothing, and touch it. Each time, the last player to touch an object of the correct color is eliminated. The last player remaining is the winner.
Stars and Stripes is a fun party game that requires music, and a large, uneven group of players. Players split into two teams, stars, and stripes, with an extra player on one team. The music starts, and players dance or move around and one the music is stopped, each player must pair up with someone from the opposite team, forming a stars and stripes pair. The player left without a partner is eliminated. The games with the last remaining pair is declared the winner.
