Free New Years Party Games
Keep the kids involved in some focused fun this year with these free New Years games. They are interesting without being too hard to play, especially for those younger elementary school kids.
You can try to predict the future by playing the New Years Headlines game. For this game youll need:
 glue sticks
 lots of newspapers
 typing paper
 scissors
Have the kids go through some newspapers that youve saved up looking for letters, phrases and words that they can combine and paste on their typing paper to create the headlines for the next year. These can be wild and wacky if they like, just as long as they have lots of fun putting the project together. For a kick you can save the headlines and show them to the kids again the next New Years Eve to see if any of them came true.
Jack Frost is a fun game to play in order to use up some extra energy. Have everyone stand in a circle and chose a volunteer to play Jack Frost, who will stand in the middle of the circle. Jack Frost will run around the inside of the circle and pick someone at random to touch. The person he or she touched must then start shaking that body part, such as the left hand and cry out Jack Frost nipped my hand. That person must keep shaking their hand for the rest of the game.
Meanwhile Jack Frost continues to run around the inside of the circle touching peoples hands, feet arms and legs. Each person must cry out which body part Jack Frost nipped and start shaking it. The game is only over when Jack Frost has managed to nip both the arms, legs, hands and feet of someone in the circle, so that his or her entire body is shaking.
