Rock Star Idol
Ramp up the fun with some Rock Star Idol which is obviously a take on American Idol and the whole slew of Idol shows that exist. Now that you have a stage, this is an excellent game to play. After the guests have warmed up on stage after playing around a little, settle them down and explain the rules of the game. For this game you will need 3 judges and a pen and paper.
Each guest will get 2 minutes on stage to show their stuff. You will be able to do it in karaoke form or by themselves. Doing it karaoke style is a lot more fun for children, especially if they are shy. After each round the judges will anonymously score the participant on vocals, stage presence and interaction with the crowd on a 1-10 basis. The person who scores the most points wins the game.

A rock star party would not be complete without a stage to perform on! With that said, there are something’s that you can do to ensure not only a great stage, but an excellent performance. In order to make the stage, you can simply use cinder blacks and a piece of plywood. Cover the stage area how you would like according to your theme and color choices; a tablecloth works well.
You can make a backdrop in many ways including hanging black or other colored sheets or even by purchasing a backdrop form a party store. Now that you have your stage, you need to supply instruments and some dress up gear. Simply put beads, boas, wigs, dresses, pants, shirts and other misc. clothes items and accessories in the box and watch them have a blast!
“Hey Hey…I wanna be a Rock Star.” Even as Nickelback croons away, their song reflects perfectly the sentiments of a whole new generation of youngsters. So why not make your kid’s dream come true at least for a day and throw him a Rock Star party. Gather together everything flashy and loud for this party as it’s got to be a spectacular event. As the guests arrive, hand each one a stone studded, glittery pair of shades so that they look the part. Get out that old karaoke machine and keep some pretend microphones and guitars handy as you have to get each of the guests to perform to their favorite tracks. If they don’t want to sing they could even lip-synch. The point is to give them the opportunity to showcase the rock star within them. This theme is sure to be a hit with the kids as it allows all the boys to be studs and the girls to be divas for the day.
