Alphabet Game is a simple Mardi Gras themed game to play.
Letter games are fun for all children, even big ones! The Mardi Gras' Alphabet game is an educational and fun game for the children to enjoy. In this games a large boxful of letters should be provided, which can be purchased at any toy store or made by the young people themselves by cutting letters out of newspapers, magazines or even writing their own and cutting them out. The children should be seated around the table; the letters should then be well shuffled and dealt to the players. Each child has to form a word or sentence out of the letters which he has received. Another variation is to select a long word, and then in a given time to try to form several words from it such as names of well-known people, places, can also be given. Or, for the younger child, create a game that places letters in the center of the table and they must pull out letters that make a word. Mardi Gras favors serve as excellent rewards for a game well played and keep kids interested in the game. The more prizes they get the more they will learn too.
